The second day of competition of the 2011 Swedish Open produced the successful qualifiers into the main draw. For the Men Singles, only the leaders in each group will have their place in the main draw. The qualifiers from the host country did a good job today as four of them sealed their places in the next round. In the list, France and Japan also produced quite a number of victories and will also face the seeded players in the next round.

Unlike the women division, the Men Singles still needed another the third round to know who will be the successful qualifiers into the main draw. Today, the victorious players sealed their place in the next round and the excitement is just about to start.

The host country Sweden is one of the biggest winners for the day as Mattias Oversjo, Kristian Karlsson, Mattias Karlsson and Jon Persson all landed in the first place of their respective groups.

Just like Sweden, France also produced a good number of qualifiers into the main draw. They were Abdel-Kader Salifou, Simon Gauzy, Romain Lorentz, and Jeremy Petiot. In addition Quentin Robinot and Stephane Ouaiche also joined the rest of the French qualifiers despite finishing in second place in their respective groups.
 
Aside from Ricardo Walther's early victory, the other German qualifiers Stefen Mengel and Lars Hielscher also earned their place in the next round.

Ukraine, England and Czech Republic each earned two victories from their qualifiers. Ukraine has Oleksandr Didukh and Lei Kou, England has Daniel Reed and Andrew Baggaley while Czech Republic will have Michal Obeslo and Tomas Tregler.

Italian Mihai Bobocica, Turkish Bora Vang and Filip Szymanski of Poland complete the list of the successful European qualifiers.

As for Asia, Japan produced the most number of victories today. Kenji Matsudaira, Asuka Sakai, and Maharu Yoshimura all finished as leaders in their respective groups and will therefore advance further into the competition. In addition to the Japanese victory, despite landing in the second place, Yuto Muramatsu also sealedhis place in the main draw.

Meanwhile, Korea follows in the list with two victorious players. They were Choi Hyun Jin and Lee Jun Sang. The latter earned his first point with a walk-over. After which, he sealed his ticket in the main draw as he defeated Jonathan Groth of Denmark.

Leung Chu Yan and Tse Ka Chun of Hong Kong, and Indian Harmeet Desai also joined the Japanese and Koreans into the next round.

After defeating Emilien Vanrossomme of Belgium yesterday, the Australian William Henzell earned his second point today with his win against Benedek Olah of Finland. Therefore, William Henzel will complete the list of successful qualifiers who will battle against the seeded players in the main draw.
