China and Japan followed their fellow countrymen's steps and emerged successfully against Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei in semifinals. This time Kasumi Ishikawa and Co. will jump into the court to get their second title in a row, while China will try to take revenge for its defeat suffered last year in Bratislava.

In the first match of quarterfinal, China beat Sweden by 3:0, while Hong Kong defeated Bernardette Szcos's Romania by 3:1. Chinese Taipei stood victorious over South Korea by 3:1, while Japan overcame Germany by 3:0.

Semifinal matches:

China 3-0 Hong Kong

Chinese team didn't have problems to defeat Hong Kong by an overwhelming 3:0. Zhu Yuling beat Doo Hoi Kem by 3:0 in the first match. Then, Cheng Men overcame swept with Li Ching Wang and put her team 2:0 up in the score. In the third match, Gu Yuting secured Chinese victory after defeating Soo Wai Yam Minnie by 3:0. 

Japan 3-0 Chinese Taipei

In the first match, Kasumi Ishikawa didn't have problems to beat Chen Szu-Yu by 3:0. Then, Ayuka Tanioka gave the second point to Japan after defeating Cheng Hsien-Tzu. In the third match, Miyu Maeda was in charge to sealed Japanese victory after overcoming Chen Hung-Ting by 3:0.

Kasumi Ishikawa, Ayuka Tanioka, Zhu Yuling and Gu Yuting will relive the final played last year  in Bratislava, where Tanioka beat Yi Fangxian in the third match and Ishikawa overcame Zhu and Gu giving the first team gold medal to Japan.
