Besides the ITTF Pro tour Grand Finals, other event will take place in London these days. On Friday, the British team led by Paul Drinkhall and Joanna Parker will face World All Star team. The characteristic of this event is that most of the players, who will take part of the event, are under 23 years old.

On Friday, the British team will jump into the arena with Paul Drinkhall, Liam Pitchford, Andrew Baggaley and the Scottish Gavin Rumgay as reserve.

Paul Drinkhall is the second European player who has reached the final of a World Junior Championship, Madrid 2008. Liam Pitchford has shown a great performance during the last months. In the European Championship, he beat Vladimir Samsonov in the team event and Alexei Smirnon in singles. In the recently World Junior Championship in Bahrein, the young player defeated Wu Jiaji of China in the round of 16.

The World All Star team will lead by Korean Lee Sang Su, followed by Egyptian Omar Assar and Tomas Tregler of Czech Republic.

Women's Britsh team is made up by Joanna Parker, Kelly Sibley and Liu Na.

The squad of the women's World All Star team is Saki Tasahiro, Ng Wing Nam and Egyptian Nadeen El-Dawlatly.
