United States' Ariel Hsing added another title to her collection as she emerged successfully over her team mate Lily Zhang in the final. The recent winner of the North American Cup took the lead after winning teh first game by 11:9 but Zhang fought back and leleved by 12:10. Then Zhang swept with Hsing but by 11:4 and put the score 2:1 but Hsing didn't give up and managed to level by 11:5. Since then the young player took control of the match and secured her victory after winning the next two games by 11:7 and 12:10.
In her way to teh final, Hsing overcame India's Manika Batra and Ankita Das, while Zhang stood victorious over Brasil's Lin Gu and Caroline Kumahara.
Harmeet Desai captured the title in the boys U-21 event after beating Belgium's Cedric Nuytinck. The Indian player dominated the encounter from the beginning as he won the first game by 11:3. Then Nuytinck leveled by 11:6 but Desai recovered and got the third game by the same score. The Belgium player fough back and leveled by 11:9. However, Desai reacted at the right time by winning the next two games by 11:5 and 11:6 and sealed his victory.

In the previous matches, Desai defeated Brasil's Vitor Ishiy, Eric Jouti and his team mate and top seed Soumyajit Ghosh, while Nuytinck overcame Brasil's Gustavo Sousa, Lauric Jean and Hugo Calderano, who caused the biggest upset in the senior event after beating Jean-Michel Saive.
