Same as the Chinese Men Team, the women squad's Closed Training is equally taken extremely seriously. While they work through their daily training, starting at 7:30am until they end at 21:00hrs, every job has its own timetable. Shi Zhihao wants to thank all their leaders and supporters in Chengdu.
"I am extremely grateful for the concern and support from all our leaders. They have created an impressive training environment for us. Anyone can see that there is not much difference with our stadium as of that in London. We are all in good condition because of all the support. The Chinese Women Team is really thankful." Shi Zhihao said.
After more than 20 days of training, Shi Zhihao can already say that they are doing fine. "The current team's training is doing very well. We have basically achieved our desired training objectives. At present, the players' psychological and competitve condition are all in remarkable levels." Shi Zhihao added.
However, the head coach doesn't hope that the condition of his players will reach its peak as of now. For him there is still a month's time. It's still too early for such condition as it may decrease at the time they need it most.
The Chinese Women Team will continue their Closed Training in Chengdu before participating in the public warm-up match with the Chinese Men Team on July 8.
"We will mainly work on the players' focus in the later part of our training. This will include our major opponents and the adjustment to the London Olympic stadium. This is not the Beijing Olympics anymore so our preparations must be more comprehensive." Shi Zhihao concluded.
