Mission accomplished for Bernadette Szocs and Tristan Flore who emerged successfully in the junior girls and boys singles event of the European Youth Championships held in the Werner Schlager Academy. In the girls event Szocs and Petrissa Solja clashed again but this time the Romanian player didn't suffer as last year and secured her second gold medal in four games. In semifinals Szocs defeated Croatia's Lea Rakovac, while Solja beat Romania's Irina Ciobanu. On the contrary, Tristan Flore stood victorious over Simon Gauzy in a thrilling seven games match and defended the title won last year against Quentin Robinot. The third place went to France's Enzo Angles and Antoine Hachard.
Before being opponents in the girls final, reigning champions Szocs and Solja clinched the gold medal in doubles after defeating the Serbian pairing of Anna Fenyvesi and Viktoria Truszinszki. The bronce medal was got by Romania's Irina Cioubau/Roxana Istrate and Croatia's Mateja/Serbia's Aneta Maksuti. In the junior boys doubles Poland stole the gold from France as Konrad Kulpa and Jakub Dyjas overcame Flore and Gauzy by 3:1 in the final. The third place went to Belgium's Robin Devos/Antoine Hachard and Sweden's Hampus Soderlund and Viktor Gorman.
In the cadet singles event winners were Germany's Alena Lemmer and France's Alexandre Cassin. The German girl emerged successfully over France's Marie Migot by 4:0 in the final. The third place was won by Russia's Maria Malanina and England's Tin Tin Ho. In the boys singles Cassin overcame Poland's Patryk Zatowva in six close games. France's Romain Ruiz and France's Maxim Chaplygin got the third place.
In the girls cadet doubles Romania's Adina Diaconu and Mihaela Lupu won the gold medal after beating the German pairing of Yuan Wan and Alena Lemmer by 3:1. Hungary's Csilla Nagypal/Leila Imre and Poland's Natalia Major/Portugal's Rita Fins won the bronce medal. Sweden captured the gold medal in the boys cadet doubles after Anton Kallberg and Simon Berglund defeated Poland's Aleksander Werecki and Patryk Zatowka by 3:0 in the final. The third place went to France's Romain Ruiz/Joe Seyfried and Alexandre Cassin/ Can Akkuzu.
