The Chinese Team is now wrapping up their Closed Training in Xiamen and Chengdu. In order to check their players' condition and the results of their training, the team will conduct their Final Warm-up Match on Chengdu on July 9. This time, the mock competition will start with the Men & Women Singles then followed by the Men & Women Team events. It will create an atmosphere as close to the Olympics as possible so the media will also play an important role.

After more than a month of Closed Training in Xiamen and Chengdu, the Chinese team will gather in Chengdu for their scheduled final warm-up match, still in preparation for the London Olympics. It will take place on July 9 to 11 at the Chengdu CAC Stadium.

"The Chinese Men Team will arrive in Chengdu on July 8. At that time as well, a number of Chinese Women Team members will also be leaving. Only the players who will compete in the London Olympics should be in Chengdu. The other players should be going back to Beijing." Chengdu Table Tennis School principal Dai Tianyun said to the reporters.

Also in the interview, Dai Tianyun also confirmed that the Men Team will not be living in the same place with the Women Team. "The men will live in the CAC Guesthouse while the women will remain in the Chengdu Table Tennis School."

Although the Chinese Men Team will not be living with the women team, to ensure food safety, their food will still be coming from one place and that will be the school. The Chengdu Table Tennis School is responsible for the preparation and delivery of food for the entire team.

Since the competition is the final warm-up match before the real game in London, the organizers have prepared everything to create an atmosphere close to the Olympic Games.

"The warm up match will of course adapt to the Olympic standards and regulations. It will have the Men & Women Singles followed by the Men & Women Team events (emulating the controversial events order introduced for London 2012). The warm up match will also have a brief opening ceremony which will take place on July 9 just when Cai Zhenhua will arrive." Dài Tianyun added.

In addition to the players and the live audience, media will also play an important role in the event so as to have an environment as close to the real games for the players.

"By that time, media from all over the country will come. CCTV will also broadcast some of the matches live." Dai Tianyun concluded.

One week ago, the Chinese Mem Team had already conducted an initial warm-up match focusing on the Olympic Team event. Against Ma Lin, Xu Xin and Wang Liqin, the Olympic Team of Zhang Jike, Wang Hao and Ma Long failed to gained confidence from the crowd as they lost by 2-3. In this upcoming mock competition in Chengdu, let us see if the Olympic Team, especially Zhang Jike, will be able to redeem themselves. Do you think they can do it? Leave your opinion below!
