The Olympic German team made up by Timo Boll, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Bastian Steger has had a busy schedule during the last two months not for the number of tournaments but for its training camps.
Timo Boll and Co. started their preparation in Hinterzarten, where their training was focused on the physical preparation. However, Olympic players weren't alone because they were accompanied by Patrick Baum, Christian Suss, Patrick Franziska, Steffen Mengel, Ricardo Walther and Phillip Floritz.
Then German players went back to the German Federation's training center located in Dusseldorf, also training center for Borussia Dusseldorf. Players were there until the end of the month but Olympic players took a break and traveled to Mainz to collect their clothes and equipment for London.
Last weekend Timo Boll and Co. traveled to Schwechat in Austria, to train at the Werner Schlager Academy together with other German stars. However, German players couldn't resist high ambient temperatures and went back to Dusseldorf. The training camp will finish with a tournament, where German players were supposed to compete but now their participation isn't sure.
