Feng Tianwei, Wang Yuegu and Li Jiawei had a warm welcome last week as they arrived at the airport in Singapore. Many journalists and about 1,000 fans were waiting for the bronze medallists and mainly for Feng Tianwei who also clinched the bronze medal in the singles event.
Besides, the athletes participated in a victory parade and in interviews. A week after the arrival euphoria players went back to their daily rutine. However, Feng Tianwei decided to try something new, karting. The bronze medallist doesn't think of switching sports but she is preparing for a karting competition.
Feng Tianwei together with other two athletes and a pro driver will be the members of the Singaporean Team that will compete at the KF1 Karting Championships in September. The Singaporean media talked to the Olympic medallist after her practice: "This is my first time trying it. It's exciting and I like the feeling of speeding. We may win. I feel very happy that I can contribute to the team and not pull it down".
