Borussia Dusseldorf has officially started season 2012-13 with its traditional press conference before the first match. Timo Boll and Co. want to capture the 60th title for Borussia and hope to win it at the Supercup or at the German Cup. However, now players are concentrated on their first match against Petr Korbel's TTC Ruhrstadt Herne on Saturday.

Borussia Dusseldorf is probably the most successful table tennis club in Europe with 59th titles. However, the German club isn't satisfied and will go for its 60th title. Timo Boll and Co. hope to win this title at the European Supercup or at the German Cup.

Andreas Preuss, Borussia Dusseldorf's Manager, said that they have high expectations for this new season, so who arrives in the club has to win. Mr. Preuss also talked about the competition at the Bundesliga: " I expect an exciting season. Other clubs don't sleep and reinforced their teams. Werder Bremen, Fulda-Maberzell and Ochsenhausen are the strongest opponents for sure."

Werder Bremen didn't get to play-offs last season but Adrian Crisan's club had a good season. However, the club looks for something more this year and signed Chuang Chih-Yuan and Paul Drinkhall. On the other hand, Jan-Ove Waldner left Fulda but the club knew how to solve the problems and signed raising-star Patrick Franziska. Ochsenhausen didn't sleep either and signed former Olympic champion Ryu Seungmin.

Borussia Dusseldorf also has a new player in its squad, Ricardo Walther. The 20-years-old player replaced Hungary's Janos Jakab, who left the club in the last season. Walther talked about his arrival in Borussia: "I'm happy with my transference to the Bundesliga. Besides, I want to go up in the world ranking list and Borussia is the best club for that.

Christian Suss, who was away from tables for some months due to a knie injury, also has goals for this season and one of them is to be under the top-30: "I had a good first semester, althought I wasn't at my 100%. I want to find my old strenght again."

Danny Heister, Borussian coach, talked about the upcoming season:
"I hope that our players don't suffer injuries like in the last season.
