Ma Long Won The 2013 Qatar Open! (Videos)

The 2013 Qatar Open came to end with the close victory of Ma Long over Yan An in the final of the men's singles event. Ma Long recahed the final after beating Dimitrij Ovtcharov by 4:1 in quaterfinals and Xu Xin by 4:2, while Yan An overcame Zhang Jike and Wang Hao by 4:0. 

Ma Long started leading as he go the first two games by 11:9 and 11:3 but Yan An reacted and caused some problems to the former world ranking #1. Yan managed to win the next three games by 12:10, 12:10 and 11:9, and put himseld 3:2 up in the score. Then Ma Long came back into the game and leveled by 11:6, Yan An took control of the deciding match and managed to be 8:6 up, but Ma Long fought back and won the next four points. Yan got to save the first match point but Ma didn't fail twice and secured his victory by 11:9. 

Ma Long couldn't repeat success in the doubles event. Ma Long and Zhang Jike reached the final, where they would face their team mates Wang Hao and Yan An but yesterday Zhang Jike withdrew from the singles event, and also from the tournament, due to a back injury, so the title went to Wang Hao's and Yan An's hands.
