The team that will represent China in the upcoming 2013 World Championships to be held in Paris is defined. Ma Long and Zhang Jike lead group of players, who will compete in the singles event. Fan Zhendong and Ma Lin join this group for coach decision. Li Xiaoxia and Ding Ning head the women's list. World junior champions Zhu Yuling and Cheng Men are the surprises in the line-up.

China confirmed all the players who will compete in the 2013 World Championships to be held in Paris in May. Ma Long, Xu Xin, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao and Yan An secured a place in the singles event after winning the Chinese Trials. However, China has seven places for the singles competition, so two players were nominated to complete the quota. Ma Lin didn't book a place in the National Trials but he was one of the players selected by coaches, so he will compete in singles and doubles. Therefore, Ma Lin will probably have his last chance of winning the world title in Paris. The another player selected was 16-years-old Fan Zhendong, who won the 2012 World Junior Championshps.

Ma Long, Zhang Jike, Wang Hao, Xu Xin and Fang Zhendong will only compete in the singles event. So China will be represented in the men doubles event by: Fang Bo/Chen Qi, Ma Lin/ Hao Shuai, and Wang Liqin/Zhou Yu.

In the women's singles event, China will be represented by Li Xiaoxia, Liu Shiwen, Wu Yang, Hu Limei and Ding Ning, who booked a place in Paris by winning in the Chinese Trials. The two left places were taken by the world junior champions Cheng Men and Zhu Yuling, who were nominated.

On the contrary to the men players, women chinese stars will compete in the singles and doubles event. Therefore, China's women pairings are: Ding Ning/ Liu Shiwen, Li Xiaoxia/Guo Yue, and Zhu Yuling/Cheng Men.

In mixed doubles, China confirmed: Wang Liqin/Rao Jingwen, Qiu Yike/Wen Jia, and Chen Qi/Hu Limei.
