Sina Sports. After her missed chances in the previous World Championships Squad Trials, Ding Ning has finally received her qualification last weekend in Guangdong after she defeated Chen Meng and Zhu Yuling.

While the 2013 Korean Open was taking place in Incheon last weekend, the Chinese Women's Team had their third World Championships Squad Trials where Ding Ning, Chen Meng, Wen Jia and Zhu Yuling competed for the fifth slot in Paris.

After missing several opportunities to take her seat in the lineup for the World Championships, Ding Ning worked hard in her matches. First, she swept Chen Meng in 12-10, 11-7, 11-7. After a rather easy match, Ding Ning encountered a challenge from Zhu Yuling where she was forced into a full-stretch match. Ding Ning scored 9-11, 11-6, 11-5, 7-11, 11-8.

"Honestly speaking, I am still full of excitement until now because today's game was not particularly easy especially in the finals against Zhu Yuling who really gave a big impact on me. She really performed well but I withstood the challenge and eventually won the game so I can say to myself that I am extremely satisfied with my performance." Ding Ning said after the match.

Although she admitted pressure and challenges from the competition, Ding Ning has maintained her faith on herself. "I am still confident with my strength." Ding Ning added.

One day before the scheduled match, Ding Ning was reported to have been injured after a minor accident during her training. With this, Ding Ning said that she cannot just make it as an excuse not to fight or to lose.

"I think injuries are a normal thing for athletes. Even if I lost the match, I cannot make my injuries as my excuse because if I lose, I lose. Win or lose, I just need to have a positive attitude to face it." Ding Ning concluded.

With this, Ding Ning will be present in the 2013 World Championships in Paris to defend her title.
