Sharara Fights Back Against Bosi's Allegations
Spread the love for Table Tennis!

The news about the allegations against current ITTF President Adham Sharara is a big blow upon him and the international governing body of table tennis, the ITTF. This is something that Sharara, himself is aware of and with this, he revealed that he will certainly use his right to take legal actions to defend himself and uphold the dignity of the ITTF.

Sohu Sports. ITTF President Adham Sharara is under much controversy recently after he was bombarded with allegations coming from ETTU President Stefano Bosi. Now, Sharara would like to take legal action to defend himself.

"The allegations of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) are to discredit the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and my own behaviour. Me and the ITTF have the right to take legal action because such allegations have created an adverse impact on us." Sharara responded.

A letter, along with a 15-page material from the ETTU containing the allegations against Sharara was mailed to the ITTF members in the first days of April. "After I received the letter from the ETTU, I did not intend to respond at first because such work should be given to our legal representative. All the legal argumentation will be provided to all the members of the ITTF during the World Championships in Paris." Sharara added.

According to the ETTU and Stefano Bosi, Sharara is involved with long term corruption in the ITTF and this is something Sharara categorically denies: "All the allegations concerning me modifying accounts or hiding the true income are all false."

Knowing where the issue is coming from, Sharara can certainly smell something fishy. "Anyone within the ITTF has the right to run for presidency. In addition, anyone also has the right to complain or clarify any issues. Unfortunately, some one is attacking me and at the same time campaigning." Sharara said, pointing to the complainant, Bosi.

As the current ITTF President, Adham Sharara has some words to say to all table tennis fans around the globe.

"First of all, I will continue my campaign for reelection as ITTF's President in the Paris World Championships. Second, I sincerely hope that everyone will continue to trust me and allow the law to decide whether I was able to commit unfair acts during my term of office or not. Third, I hope everyone will continue to vote for me. I also hope that after justice has served, everyone can continue to trust ITTF. With our joint efforts, we will make table tennis as a "core sport" in the Olympics."
