Australia emeged as the main force in the 2013 ITTF-Oceania Cup held in the city of Bendigo. William Henzell and Miao Miao were crowned champions of the Continental event on Monday. New Zealand, the other strong team in Oceania, only got the silver medal won by Li Chunli in the women's event. 

Host nation swept the podium at the 2013 ITTF-Oceania Cup held in the Australian city of Bendigo. William Heinzell and Miao Miao claimed the title on Monday and booked a place for the 2013 World Cup. Heinzell beat his team mates David Powell by 15:13, 11:7, 7:11, 11:4 and 11:1 in the final. Robert Franzk of Australia also posted a 4:1 victory over Phillip Xiao of New Zealand in the bronze medal match securing all medals for his country. 

Before Heinzell and Co. swept the podium in the men's event, Miao Miao captured the gold medal after defeating New Zealand's Chunli Li by 5:11, 11:13, 11:9, 10:12, 11:7, 13:11 and 11:8. The third place also went to Australia as Zhenhau Dederko stood victorious over her team mate Melissa Tapper by 11:5, 4:11, 11:7, 11:7, 9:11 and 11:2. 

Besides the 2013 ITTF-Oceania Cup, another tournament was held, the Pacific Cup. Yoshua Shing of Vanuatu emerged successfully over Kiribati's Yoshua Shing by 11:4, 11:8, 11:13, 13:11, 9:11 and 11:8. In the women's event Cathy Gauthier of New Caledonia vercame her compatriot Ornella Bouteille by 11:4, 11:8, 11:7 and 11:5 in the final.
