After coming close to victory in the 2013 Chinese National Games, Fan Zhendong, this time, gave more just to achieve the highest titles of the Chinese National Championships. He won over Ma Long in the Men's Singles and the Men's Doubles, with Xu Xin. This perhaps is Fan Zhendong's night. 

Sohu Sports. The 2014 Chinese National Championships ended with the 17-year old sensation clinching two championship titles: Men's Singles and Doubles. 

Earlier this day, Fan Zhendong defeated Shang Kun with 4-1 in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Ma Long struggled and survived Fang Bo who showed an impressive form in the competition. Ma Long got through with 4-3. 

Eventually, the finals boiled down to Fan Zhendong and Ma Long. These two brilliant players have put on a spectacular show in last year's Chinese National Games. It was a close call for both but at the end, it was Ma Long who won. 

This time, Fan Zhendong successfully redeemed himself with a 4-2 score. The 17-year old was hailed as the Men's Singles champion. 

Aside from the Singles, Fan Zhendong also stood up in the highest medal podium in the Doubles after his partnership with Xu Xin defeated the powerful tandem of Zhang Jike and Ma Long

As for the women's division, a young player took the limelight as well. Zhu Yuling defeated the World Champion Ding Ning in six sets. 

Silver in the Singles but gold for the Doubles. Ding Ning, with partner Liu Shiwen defeated Yang Yanmei and Yuan Xuejiao in the finals.
