Last weekend European countries held their national tournaments. One of these countries was Belgium, where Jean-Michel Saive clinched his 25th title. The living legend almost didn't make it, because he faced difficults in the previous matches against Cedric Nuytinck and his brother Philippe Saive.

At the age of 44, Jean-Michel Saive won 25th Belgian title. He emerged successfully over Benjamin Rogiers by 10:12, 11:6, 11:7, 11:3 and 11:7 in the final of the Belgian Nationa Championships' 82th edition.

But this wasn't the hardest match in the tournament. In quarterfinals he was challenged by his brother Philippe Saive, but he managed to win by 4:3. In semifinals he also struggled to beat Cedric Nuytinck by 7:11, 11:4, 5:11, 11:4, 11:4, 8:11 and 11:4.

This is the 33rd appearance of Saive in the Belgian National Championships since 1982.
