Quadri Aruna suffered an early elimination at the 2015 Africa Senior Championships. The Nigerian player fell against Egypt's Mohamed El-Beiali by 11:8, 11:6, 8:11, 8:11, 8:11, 11:7 and 11:5 in quarterfinals.
El-Beiali will meet his compatriot Omar Assar in semifinals. Assar defeated Congo Brazzaville's Saheed Idowu by 11:5, 11:5, 11:7 and 11:4.
Egypt already secured the gold medal in the men's singles, because the other semifinal will also be an Egyptian duel. In the second semifinals Cameroon's Sarah Hanffou will meet Egypt's Dina Meshref. Hanffou defeated Egypt's Noha Yousry by 11:6, 11:9, 11:6, 11:13, 13:15 and 11:7, while Meshref overcame her compatriot Galila Nasser by 14:12, 11:13, 11:8, 11:4 and 11:5.
