Sharath Kamal Achanta had a successful comeback in the Bundesliga after getting injured at the 2015 World Championships held in Suzhou. The Indian player stood victorious over Constantin Cioti in a close match but Borussia Düsseldorf didn't have a good start.
Bastian Steger won the opening match against Patrick Franziska by 11-8, 12-10 and 11-2. In the second match Panagiotis Gionis leveled the score as he overcame Kirill Skachkov by 11-6, 14-12 and 11-9.
Achanta got the second point for Borussia. He defetaed Cioti by 9-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-5 and 11-8. Gionis sealed victory for the record-breaking club after winning against Steger by 11-4, 11-9 and 11-7.
Ochsenhausen also won in the 4th round. The current runner-up overcame TTC Hagen. Liam Pitchford got the first point as he defeated Anton Kallberg by 11-6, 11-6, 5-11 and 11-8. In the second match Simon Gauzy gave no chance to Cedric Nuytinck and won by 11-9, 11-9 and 11-4. In the third match Jakub Dyjas overcame Borna Kovac by 11-5, 13-11 and 11-8.
