Borussia Düsseldorf faced its first defeat in the 2015-16 Bundesliga. The record-breaking fell against Zugbrücke Grenzau in the second round held on Sunday. Fulda-Maberzell also got a victory in the second round. Wang Xi & Co. stood victorious over TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt.

TTBL. Borussia Düsseldorf suffered its first defeat in the 2015-16 Bundesliga. Timo Boll and Co. lost to Zugbrücke Grenzau in a close match held on Sunday. 

Andrej Gacina took the lead for Grenzai as he overcame Panagiotis Gionis by 11-8, 8-11, 11-6 and 11-6. Timo Boll leveled the score after winning against Masaki Yoshida by 7-11, 13-11, 11-9 and 11-8. 

Liang Qiu overcame Patrick Franziska by 11-6, 9-11, 11-8 and 11-8 and gave the second point to Grenzau. Timo Boll repeated success again as he stood victorious over Gacina by 11-7, 7-11, 11-5 and 11-8. In the deciding match Yoshida redeemed himself. He defeated Gionis by 11-5, 11-7 and 11-5. 

Fulda-Maberzell also posted a victory in the second round. Wang Xi collected the first point after beating Ricardo Walther by 11-8, 8-11, 11-4 and 11-7. Jonathan Groth captured the second point as he overcame Steffen Mengel by 13-11, 11-9, 11-6. Ruwen Filus secured victory as he won against Gustavo Tsuboi by 11-8, 11-5 and 11-5.
