Ai Fukuhara suffered another early departure in the 2016 World Tour circuit. The Japanese star, top seed, fell against China's Wu Yang in quarterfinals. Yang Haeun also faced defeat against a Chinese player, Hu Limei. Hong Kong's Lee Ho Ching and Kasumi Ishikawa reached semifinals.

Ai Fukuhara failed again at the 2016 World Tour circuit. The Japanese star suffered an early departure at the 2016 Hungarian Open and had the same fate at the 2016 German Open. 

Fukuhara, top seed, has no chance against China's Wu Yang and fell by 4-11, 8-11, 4-11 and 12-14. In semifinals the Chinese player will meet her teammate Hu Limei, who eliminated South Korea's Yang Haeun by 15-13, 11-9, 11-7, 7-11 and 11-4. 

In the second semifinals Hong Kong's Lee Ho Ching will face Kasumi Ishikawa, second seed. In quartaerfinals Lee overcame South Korea's Seo Hyowon by 1-6, 11-8, 9-11, 11-5, 4-11, 4-11 and 11-7. Kasumi Ishikawa won the Japanese duel against ]], the defending champion. The second seed stood victorious over 11-5, 4-11, 11-3, 11-8 and 11-7.
