Quadri Aruna emerged champion at the Africa Top-16 Cup held in Khartoum, Sudan. The Nigerian player stood victorious over Omar Assar of Egypt in the final match. Dina Meshref of Egypt clinched the title in the women's event after beating Han Xing of Congo Brazzaville. 

Quadri Aruna and Dina Meshref are the champions at the 2016 Africa Top-16 Cup held in Khartoum, Sudan. The Nigerian pride claimed the title after defeating Egypt's Omar Assar, defending champion, by 8-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 and 11-9 in the final match. 

To reach semifinals, Aruna overcame El Sayen Lashin by 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 and 11-6. In the first semifinal Assar stood victorious over Nigeria's Segun Toriola by 11-6, 11-4, 11-13, 12-10 and 12-10. 

The bronze medal was won by Toriola by 11-8, 11-7, 12-14 and 11-8. 

In the women's event Dina Meshref clinched the title. The Egyptian player got her third title in a row as she beat Congo Brazzaville's Han Xing by 11-4, 14-12, 11-7, 6-11 and 11-2. 

In semifinal Meshref won against Nigeria's Offiong Edem by 12-10, 8-11, 11-7, 11-5 and 11-6. In the second semifinal Han defeated Egypt's Nadeen El-Dawlatly by 11-3, 9-11, 6-11, 11-8, 11-8 and 11-1. 

The bronze medal was clinched by El-Dawlatly as she overcame Offiong by 11-8, 8-11, 10-12, 11-8 and 11-8.
