Chinese Women’s Team Sweeps Into The Finals

There might be struggle along the way for the Chinese Women’s Team but the scores still lead them into the final stage of the World Team Championships. Today, Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia and Zhu Yuling fought against the players from Chinese Taipei. They completed a complete sweep and will eventually advance into the finals against Japan. 

ITTF. The women’s team event of the World Team Championships has a;ready decided on their finalists for tomorrow. Today, China sealed the other place in the finals.  

Yesterday, the other finalist was already determined after Japan defeated North Korea in the bottom half of the draw. Today, the upper half had their judgement day and it was between China and Chinese Taipei. 

Ding Ning was first into the arena and faced Chen Szu Yu. The opponent from Taipei surely did her best but the world champion was not taking it easy. Ding Ning also fought hard and completed a powerful start for the team. She scored 11-6, 11-7, 11-4. 

The Grand Slam champion followed and battled against Cheng I Ching. In this competition, Li Xiaoxia was struggling in some matches and today it was a little different. She was able to seal a sweep win with scores 11-9, 15-13, 11-2. 

The third player was Zhu Yuling against Cheng Hsien Tzu. It was another one-way traffic match for the Chinese Team. Zhu Yuling scored 11-7, 11-6, 11-2, and completed a 3-0 win for the Chinese Team. 

Although the Chinese Women’s Team experienced some difficulties along the way in this competition, still they managed to emerge victorious and there is one more hurdle. Tomorrow, they will meet Japan for the finals at 14:30 local time.
