Japan will be the rival of China at the 2016 World Team Championships's men finals. The Japanese team booked a place in the final after beating England. Jun Mizutani & Co. had the advantage but England fought back and caused them some problems. Mizutani even turned the match against Liam Pitchford round.

ITTF. Japan is the second finalist in the men's event at the 2016 World Team Championships. The Japanese team emerged successfully over England in a close match. 

The Asian team took the lead by 2-0. Jun Mizutani defeated Paul Drinkhall by 11-8, 11-9 and 11-4 in the opening match. Maharu Yoshimura extended the advatnage after his victory over Liam Pitchford by 5-11, 14-12, 7-11, 12-10 and 11-9. 

But Samuel Walker kept English hopes alive. He showed an outstanding performance against Yuya Oshima and won by 11-6, 11-8, 8-11 and 11-9. In the fourth match Pitchford caused problems to Japan. He got the first two games by 11-8 and 12-10. But Mizutani managed to win the third game by 11-7. The English player went back into the game and got 4 match points but Mizutani saved them all and forced to a deciding game. The Japanese star took the lead and sealed his victory by 11-6.
