China already secured the men's title at the 2016 Kuwait Open. Chinese players booked their places in semifinals but two of them had some problems in quarterfinals. Xu Xin and Zhang Jike were challenged by Jun Mizutani and Dimitrij Ovtcharov, respectively. 

China showed its supremacy at the 2016 Kuwait Open. All Chinese players booked a place in semifinals of the men's singles but some players suffered to get their tickets. 

Xu Xin was leading by 3-1 over Jun Mizutani but things got complicated to him. Jun Mizutani leveled the score at 3-3 and had a big chance to sealed his victory. The Japanese star was 5-0 up in the deciding game and 10-4, but Xu Xin had an amazing comeback and won the next 8 points to sealed his victory. The final result for Xu Xin was 6-11, 11-7, 12-10, 11-7, 8-11, 9-11 and 12-10.

In semifinals Xu Xin will meet Ma Long, who defeated Vladimir Samsonov by 11-8, 11-3, 11-6, 7-11 and 11-6 in quarterfinals. 

Zhang Jike also suffered to reach semifinals. The Olympic champion was challenged by Dimitrij Ovtcharov but he managed to emerge successfully by 9-11, 11-4, 11-7, 9-11, 12-10, 9-11 and 11-8.  Tomorrow Zhang Jike will face Fan Zhendong who will play against Fan Zhendong, who also had a hard match. The Wonder boy of China beat Tang Peng by 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-3, 11-6 and 11-8.
