Japan and South Korea clinched the titles at the 2016 Zagreb Open. Hitomi Sato stood victorious over Japan's Miu Hirano by 11-6, 9-11, 11-6, 12-10 and 11-6 in the final match. In semifinals Sato overcame Mima Ito by 11-4, 6-11, 11-5, 4-11, 6-11, 11-8 and 11-9.
In men's final Joo Saehyuk defeated South Korea's Jeoung Youngsik by 4-11, 5-11, 11-6, 11-8, 6-11, 13-11 and 11-7. To reach the final, Joo overcame Ho Kwan Kit of Hong Kong by 11-5, 11-3, 11-3, 5-11 and 11-5.
In the women's doubles Hong Kong's Doo Hoi Kem and Lee Ho Ching won the title. They stood victorious their South Korea's Jeon Jihee and Yang Haeun by 3-11, 14-12, 14-12 4-11 and 11-9.
In men's singles Patrik Franziska and Jonathan Groth joined forces to clinch the title. The transnational pair overcame South Korea's Jeoung Youngsik and Lee Sangsu by 13-11, 11-7, 11-13, 4-11 and 11-9. In U21's event Tomislav Pucar of Croatia and Mima Ito emerged champions.
