The Chinese Team is full of talented players in table tennis so selecting the best players for an important competition like the Olympic Games is definitely a daunting task. According to the head coach of the Chinese Women’s Team, they have done a fair competition for everyone. However, the competition still boiled down on who is the strongest.  

Sohu Sports. The Chinese Women’s Team has already decided on their playing lineup for the Olympic Games. Li Xiaoxia & Ding Ning are selected because they are the strongest. 

“All players have their own characteristics and advantages, however generally speaking, the competition was still fair.” Kong Linghui started. 

Because of a lot of talented players in the Chinese Team, coming up with a lineup with few players for the Olympics is certainly a difficult task. As the head coach of the Chinese Women’s Team, he said that they made their decision based on the performances of their players. 

“Basically, main players attended all the competitions in this cycle. Within this cycle, Li Xiaoxia was able to win the Grand Slam in 2013. In 2015, Ding Ning won the World Championships. These two competitions are very important.” He said.

“In between those competitions are the World Cup, the Asian Games and other international competitions. It should be said that through these competitions, the two strongest players were determined.” Kong Linghui concluded. 

In the end, Li Xiaoxia and Ding Ning were confirmed by the Chinese Team to play in the Olympic Singles.
