Zhang Jike has a problem with inconsistencies, recording some unexpected defeats against unexpected opponents. However, there is one thing that Zhang Jike can be proud of and that is his victories in big competitions. As of now, he is the only Grand Slam champion who is still active in the Chinese Men’s Team and he is confident to win a second round.

Sina Sports. Zhang Jike may have experienced a number of setbacks in his career but there’s one thing that he is confident about. He is still unsurpassed.

Last year was Zhang Jike’s most difficult stage in his career after he encountered some injuries and controversies which hindered him from competing. That experience also placed his Olympic qualification.

At that time, other Chinese players are taking advantage of the opportunity. Ma Long got his first world championships and secured his Olympic qualification. Xu Xin and Fan Zhendong meanwhile increased their world ranking.

Despite all of those happening, Zhang Jike still got the seat in the Olympic Singles. He was chosen by the head coach Liu Guoliang. Recently, Zhang Jike changed his profile photo in his social networking sites. Along with the photo was written: “Now, no one can still surpass me now!”

Despite the inconsistencies, Zhang Jike was still able to deliver impressive results. He won the 2011 World Championships, the 2011 World Cup, the 2012 London Olympics, 2013 World Championships and the 2014 World Cup.

Currently, it is only Zhang Jike among the Chinese Men’s Team and perhaps the whole men’s division who has achieved this kind of feat. With what he recently said, it is like Zhang Jike is proclaiming that he will win the 2016 Rio Olympics Singles.
