Zhang Jike Made Good Adjustments In The Squad Trials http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/zhang-jike-made-good-adjustments-in-the-squad-trials// http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/zhang-jike-made-good-adjustments-in-the-squad-trials/

Coming from a poor performance in 2015, everyone was looking forward to the performance of Zhang Jike in this year’s squad trials of the Chinese Men’s Team. Throughout the competition, he surprised the people by giving a better performance sealing a victory in almost all his matches. According to his coach from Shandong, that is because the young champion made good adjustments.

Sina Sports. The Grand Slam champion Zhang Jike finished second in the squad trials and that is because he has done good adjustments.

[[Zhang Jike]] played against [[Fan Zhendong]] in the sixth round of the squad trials of the Chinese Men’s Team, at that time, head coach [[Liu Guoliang]] and the head coach of the Shandong Team, Yin Xiao were closely monitoring the performance of the young Grand Slam champion.

After six sets, Zhang Jike achieved victory. As expected, coach Yin Xiao was obviously happy. “It should be said that it is not just this match but in the whole competition, Zhang Jike’s condition has rebounded. He was very serious and had some adjustments in his techniques.” Yin Xiao said.

According to the coach of Shandong, Zhang Jike was able to make good adjustments, especially with regards to the new ball.

“Since the old ball is different from playing with the new plastic ball, his speed got slower. But in the rotation, he is strong. If he will not adjust, the results will certainly be affected. Now, he was able to make a good one, and the results were good!” Yin Xiao concluded.

Indeed, Zhang Jike finished second in the squad trials. In the German Open, Zhang Jike defeated his foreign opponents and reached the semifinals.

Zhu Yuling Didn’t Play Well In The World Cup (Videos) http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/zhu-yuling-didnt-play-well-in-the-world-cup-videos// http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/zhu-yuling-didnt-play-well-in-the-world-cup-videos/

As part of the core team of the women’s team, Zhu Yuling’s performance always gets the concern of the coaching staff. Zhu Yuling had a precious opportunity to play in last year’s World Cup. However, she wasn’t able to seize her opportunities well. She lost. Good thing, she had a better performance in the Grand Finals which was commended by the head coach.

Sohu Sports. The World Cup wasn’t a good stage for Zhu Yuling but in the Grand Finals, she was able to show a better performance.

“[[Zhu Yuling]]’s performance in the Grand Finals was much better than the World Cup. The main point was that she dared to make some changes.” [[Kong Linghui]] said.

“Actually, Zhu Yuling was very conservative and passive at the start. From start to finish, she did not dare to make a change.” He added. Zhu Yuling was blocked in the quarterfinals after losing to Li Jiao.

In the Grand Finals, Zhu Yuling’s first opponent was [[Feng Tianwei]]. She encountered some problems at the start but was able to overcome it and posted a victory.

“In her match against Feng Tianwei, Zhu Yuling was down in 0-2. The main reason there is that her techniques were very conservative. But in the third set, her service began to pick up and her forehand was giving her the advantages. Finally, she was able to reserve the situation to her favour.” Kong Linghui said.

“I hope that through her success in the Grand Finals, Zhu Yuling would be able to realise her own problems. She needs to have more courage to make a change. Only after realising these problems would Zhu Yuling be able to have a reasonable use of them.” The head coach concluded.

Ma Long Eager To Continue His Glory In 2016 http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/ma-long-eager-to-continue-his-glory-in-2016// http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/ma-long-eager-to-continue-his-glory-in-2016/

After winning the World Championships and the World Cup in just one year, Ma Long undoubtedly owned 2015. However, the more critical year in his career is yet to unfold. This year is the Olympic year and Ma Long needs to continue his momentum and be able to complete his Grand Slam. He once said that he is confident to do it.

Sina Sports. 2015 was really Ma Long’s year. No one is going to object on that. Ma Long said that he is eager to continue his glory to the future.

“Of course, looking from the results, it was really a very good year. I harvested a lot in terms of achievements. This is only one year of my life. I have been working really hard before for a lot of years.” [[Ma Long]] said.

Ma Long has been part of the Chinese Team for years now and has also been considered to be one of the strongest. However, it was only last year that he was able to finally make a breakthrough. He won his first ever World Championship title.

Well, the world title is important but Ma Long wants more. He aims to be just like his teammate [[Zhang Jike]] and complete the Grand Slam. In this case, Ma Long needs to continue his momentum this year to finally achieve his goal.

“I hope that through my own hard work, I would be able to maintain my good condition until 2016. We still need to prepare for the World Team Championships in Malaysia. I still need to prepare first for that before I can prepare for the Olympic Games.” Ma Long said.

Fan Zhendong Gives 120% For The Rio Olympics http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/fan-zhendong-gives-120-for-the-rio-olympics// http://tabletennista.com/2016/2/fan-zhendong-gives-120-for-the-rio-olympics/

In the current world ranking, Fan Zhendong is already in the second place giving him some advantage for this year’s Olympic Games. In addition, the young player also has been very expressive on his aim to play in the 2016 Rio Olympics, that is despite the stiff competition against his teammates, Zhang Jike, Ma Long and Xu Xin. According to his coach, both of them will give their utmost efforts even though they only have 1% chance.

PingPang World. Fan Zhendong is currently in the core group of the Chinese Men’s Team and he and his coach will give 120% to compete for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The latest world ranking was recently announced by the ITTF and the 19-year old [[Fan Zhendong]] is in the second place. That is because of his impressive performances in international competitions and his fast progress, not to mention his high ambition.

[[Liu Guoliang]] and the rest of the coaching staff also acknowledge the strength of the young player. Considering his position in the team and the world rankings, he can be very likely to be selected for the Olympic Singles.

However, when it comes to experience and skills, Fan Zhendong still has a lot to learn. Despite that, Fan Zhendong’s coach still has hope. “I sincerely hope to see Fan Zhendong play in the Rio Olympics. For this goal, me and Fan Zhendong will both give 120% of our effort to fight even just for 1% chance.” Wu Jingping said.

Liu Guoliang also said that Fan Zhendong still hasn’t lost the Olympic qualification.
